The 7th International Conference on Power and Energy Applications
(ICPEA 2024) officially commenced on October 19, 2024, at Taiyuan
University of Technology, which was hosted by Taiyuan University of
Technology and co-organized by IEEE PCCC Taiyuan Section, the Key
Laboratory of Clean Utilization of Coal, and the Shanxi Key
Laboratory of Power System Operation and Control.

The opening ceremony was attended by IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, and President of Taiyuan University of Technology, Professor Sun Hongbin; Dean of the School of Electrical and Power Engineering, Professor Dou Yinke; Vice Dean of the School of Electrical and Power Engineering, Professor Jia Yanbing; IEEE PCCC Taiyuan Section's Professor Qin Wenping; IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow, and Professor Zhu Jizhong from South China University of Technology; Vice Chairman of Nanjing Powerland Electronics Co., Ltd., Mr. Wang Chuanyun; Professor Li Gengfeng from Xi'an Jiaotong University; Professor Mu Yunfei from Tianjin University, as well as more than 100 scholars in the field of power and energy applications from domestic and international universities and research institutes.

Keynote Speakers
In addition to keynote and invited reports, the conference hosted five best student competition sessions, one oral presentation session, two poster sessions, and six online parallel oral sessions. Awards were presented for two Best Paper Awards, five Best Student Paper Awards, and recognitions for outstanding contributors, including organizers, reviewers, and young scientists, during the conference banquet. Dean Dou Yinke, Vice Dean Jia Yanbing, and Professor Qin Wenping attended the banquet to present awards and extend their congratulations.
This conference received significant attention and support from the leadership of Taiyuan University of Technology. Since its inception in 2018, ICPEA has successfully held 7 editions, maintaining excellent publication quality and stable indexing. ICPEA has now grown into one of the most internationally influential conferences in the field of power and energy applications.
