Abstract: With the development of modern power system, large-scale new energy power sources and electronic devices are connected to the system. They have resulted system topology changes, increased dynamic response of the control system, and increasingly complex fault transient processes. For the power grid, to improve the protection performance, it is necessary to improve the traditional short-circuit current analysis theory, construct the new protection mode and principle. For the main power equipment, to expand the protection connotation, it is necessary to enhance the coordination of fault prevention and relay protection, ensure the power supply support ability of the main equipment to the system.
